Ephesians 4:10-16 “He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things. And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
As John Lennon’s song “A Day in the Life” says, “I read the News today, oh boy!” There is every wind of doctrine and there is divisions that seems getting wider, the trickery of corrupt government, election fraud, fear-based mandates and closures, fake news and propaganda designed to deceive and indoctrinate the masses, crafty politicians and activist judges redefining words and terms as a result of a deceitful plot for create a fundamental change in the original intent for Rights and Republic, questionable context of foreign relationships, questionable reasoning, reliability and safety of experimental gene therapy on an emergency basis, Unreliable reporting of wars, what is being attacked and why, what is life and when does it begin. what is gender, what is woke CRT, what is marriage and who is God? News diseases are rumored to be coming out of the labs and appearing, transportation is inhibited so shipped are delayed, supplies are restricted so prices are going sky high, oil is constrained so gas is tripling in price, inflation is out of control so it cost-of-living is $500 per month higher than a couple years ago. Crime is increasing, morality and ethics are decreasing, society on the decline. It makes your head spin to take in all the chaos in the nation and world.
Yet, there is a chaos claim in the Almighty Lord. The fallen in sin world is out of control, but there is One who is always in control of everything, because the Creator sustains and maintains His creation and creatures. God’s people stand firm on the promises, provisions and power of their Maker. With Jesus Christ as the Lord and head of the body of Believers and the eternal perspective of eternity of citizenship in Heaven, love, joy and peace over-shadows the chaos and Gospel work on earth as the united church. Though the wicked may commit their deeds of darkness, the Light shall prevail. This present chaos is like water on a duck. They run lawlessly in rebellion of their Maker, giving into every sinful fleshly desire, believing that they are not accountable or responsible to God, but there is a Judgment Day and Hell to pay. Hebrews 9:27 “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment.”
1 John 5:11-13 “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.”
