A Generational Biblical Worldview

Romans 11:33-12:2 “Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has become His counselor? Or who has first given to Him and it shall be repaid to him? For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

Last Sunday, Pastor Kyle pointed out that we are living in unprecedented crazy, wicked times in the world. Sexual orientation for same sex relationships and forcibly being normalized in society against Romans 1 and 1 Corinthians 6 doctrine, The sanctity of life of the unborn is disregarded and abortion demanded, Pedophilia-based Comprehensive Sexuality Education is being taught children and fornication encouraged worldwide, and Gender-dysphoria indoctrination is be standardized in this ungodly culture. The general public is horrified and repulsed by what is happening today. The perpetrators of this demonic evil are after the hearts, minds and souls of children. Humanist C. F. Potter called education “a most powerful ally of humanism. What can the theistic church Sunday school meeting a one hour a week and teaching only a fraction of the children do to stem the tide of a five-day program of humanistic teaching?” They are coming after our children; protect them.

Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”

A recent survey by George Barna reported that under 10% of professing North American Christians live with a biblical worldview, looking with a mindset based on the sacred Word of God as the standard. In a nation founded a Christian worldview and where “In God We Trust” is the National Motto, the blame for the departure from biblical truth lies at the door of the church, the home and the public schools. Future generations will be directly impacted by the priority that this generation places on developing, created by God, young men and women with a biblical worldview.

In John 8:31-32 Jesus said, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

The Apostle Paul present three key components. (1) That a biblical worldview is grounded in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. A Christian moral life and ethics, how we think and what we do is centered on what Christ has done for us in salvation and justification. (2) A biblical worldview does not conform to the world, but to the Word of God. The word “world” here is the Greek word “aiōn”, meaning the spirit of the age – paganism/secular humanism. Secular means divorced from the things of God and “humanism” means a philosophy where mankind is the ultimate aim of all things. Secular humanism is the deadly combination of true rebellion again God.

(3) A biblical worldview is light that leads to regenerationing transformation of this generation. In following Christ and the Word of God, Christianity never calls the people of faith to “check their minds at the door”, but instead to fill your minds with the things of God, which will affect and shape the righteous and holy way that you act and live and shove away the garbage of this lost and dying world. The devil and the spirit of this age in this fallen world is all around us and never quits with their lies, deceptions and temptations of darkness and sin used to corrupt the minds of the next generation.

As Pastor Kyle says: Fill your minds with the Word of God so that you are equipped to battle against the spirit of this age and stand firm with the “full armor of God as you are transformed daily into the image and likeness of Christ. Stand against the evil of this day in which we live in this spiritual battle for the hearts, minds and souls. God be with you.

In God We Trust.

In Christ, Brian
