The New Tolerance - Part 2

Isaiah 5:20 “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”

Pastor Kennedy continues by summarizing that if it is true what atheistic secular humanists say, that there are no judgments by which we can condemn any standard of right and wrong or good and evil as better or worse; and if it is true that the only thing that matters is feelings; and if it is also true, as they say, that you cannot separate what a person does from what the person is, then criticizing anything anyone believes is criticizing and finding fault with that person. You cannot separate or divide the two. They believe this passionately. They have been thoroughly indoctrinated with that idea.

John 3:19-20 “And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.”

It matters to them because when you are criticizing what that person believes or what they do, you are hurting their “feelings”, you are demonstrating hatefulness to them in their mind, and now that is a “hate-crime” to them. And that can end you up in court or jail. The heart of the matter is “Who make the rules?” America was founded on the premise that we are endowed by our Creator God, who made Commandments, Laws and Statutes that our laws are based upon. God is the standard, yet sinful, rebellious mankind defies their Creator and works to silence their Maker and criminalize His people.

Example: On June 26, 2003, the US Supreme Court decided that laws against sodomy (between consenting adults) was unconstitutional. On June 26, 2015, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that the fundamental right to marry is guaranteed to same-sex couples. Sodomy is named after the biblical city of Sodom (Genesis 19-24) and followed the clear Law given by God in Leviticus 18:22, implied by Jesus in Matthew 19:4-5 and the abomination echoed by the Apostle Paul in Romans 1:24-32. The Founders of the Nation (the writers of our Constitution) had no such intent of sinful desires legalized. The Supreme Court decisions (made in the name of secular tolerance) changed the standard of God’s Law to pagan man’s sin, and since then, the criminalization and persecution against anyone who obeys God on the matter has escalated as “hate-crimes”.

There is no freedom of Religion or Conscience. For the first time in history, you can be judged for what is inside your head or inside your heart. And if you are found guilty of “hatred”, then you can be fined, lose your job or business, or go to jail. And who know what goes on beyond that step. By definition, darkness must eliminate light in order to exist.

John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

Now, Christianity is the most loving religion in the world. Creator God gives eternal life. God forgave us and He urges us to love others, to love our friends, to love our enemies, to love even those who kill us. But Christianity is an absolute religion. By the way, all of these structures do not apply to other religions – only to Christianity. Go is a jealous God and He will not have any other gods before Him. All of the gods of the heathen, He says, are but idols. But God says, “I am Jehovah. There is none like me.” Jesus Christ says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man comes to the Father, but by Me.” That statement alone could one day, in America, have landed Him in jail because it as absolutist.

Only Christ fir the sins of the world. Only Christ rose again from the dead. Only Christ offers eternal life freely to those who will trust in Him. Christianity is diametrically opposite from all other world religions in those things that really matter. But because it is absolute and not relative, it is Christianity against which all of this that I have mentioned is aimed. It is like being corralled like sheep to the slaughter. Most of the sheep don’t even know what is happening. Wake up!

Be faithful to the Great Commission of sharing the Gospel with a needy world, a needy nation. Many of you are indescribably faithful to doing that year after year. Some have not led anybody to Christ at all. It is time that we stand up for Jesus Christ and show some backbone while we still have a place to stand. The need is so great; the hour is late.

Oh God, we pray for America, One Nation Under God, that true religious liberty may again prevail, and that the truth of Christ may inundate this nation as never before. I pray this in His most Holy name. Amen
