Is God Waiting for Our Prayer? - Part 2

Pastor Herk continues, stating that we don’t fully grasp the depth of what God has done for us. We don’t doubt it, but there are things that we do not fully comprehend. The Bible is God’s Word and God’s Word is truth. We can trust God’s truth. We know that God loves us. As Christians, we trust that Jesus (the Son of God) came, He lived, He died for our sins, He rose again to conquer sin and death, then ascended to Heaven and seated at the right hand of God, the Father, interceding for us until He comes again to gather His people. He came to pay a price for sin that He did not owe because we all have a price for sin that we could not pay, but Jesus came because He loved us. We nay not be able to fully comprehend the complete Plan of God’s Salvation, but we are grateful that the Father sent the Son to save us. Because Christ made that sacrifice on the Cross out of pure love for us, we know that our sins are forgiven.

We can pray and thank Him for His sacrifice for our redemption from Hell and salvation unto Heaven. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. Tell someone that God loves them. Now, tell them that you love them. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. Out of love, we should pray for one another and the circumstances and situations that God lays upon our heart about them. You need to do it out of love.

In John 14:15-17, the Lord Jesus said: “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.”

By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. This is a promise of God. He has given us the Holy Spirit as proof that we live in Him and He lives in us. We must have the Holy Spirit active in us when we pray because He lives in us from the first moment that we repent and accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. People around us need to catch a glimpse of God when they take a look at us. To be holy means to be pure and set apart by God for God’s purposes. Is Jesus in your heart? Do others see the presence of God in your life? Is there evidence that God has a place in your heart? Is it obvious that the Holy Spirit is guiding your steps and moving in your life? Or is there a sign saying “Vacancy / Space for Rent”?

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. Share the truth. We can tell others the truth that Jesus is the Son of God and the only way to salvation. He is the light of the world and the center of our life, not at the edge. We are lost in darkness of sin and unbelief without Him. Confess that you are a Christian and trust in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. In John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. God provided one Savior and there is no other way to salvation. God wants us to bring light into the darkness of this world. Yet, some Christians live like the lights are on, but nobody’s home when it comes to fulfilling the Great Commission and telling others about Jesus.

And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. Just because God loves us, we cannot pick and choose what part of the Bible we obey. As He is, so are we in this world. That means to live like Jesus here in this world, wherever you are. The child of God in in the world, but not of this world. We are Ambassadors for the Kingdom of God through our Lord Jesus Christ, the King of kings. The love of God dispels fear. Communicate that same love to others and pray for them.

In Christ, Brian
