The Light of Jesus

 Hochybrig, Schwyz, Switzerland, Alpine

God said in Isaiah 42:1-9 “Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom

My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles. He will not cry out, nor raise His voice, nor cause His voice to be heard in the street. A bruised reed He will not break, and smoking flax He will not quench; He will bring forth justice for truth. He will not fail nor be discouraged, till He has established justice in the earth; And the coastlands shall wait for His law.” Thus says God the Lord, Who created the heavens and stretched them out, Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it, Who gives breath to the people on it, and spirit to those who walk on it: “I, the Lord, have called You in righteousness, and will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, as a light to the Gentiles, to open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the prison, those who sit in darkness from the prison house. I am the Lord, that is My name: And My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to carved images. Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them.”

1 Peter 2:9 “you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

Isaiah 42 was written about Christ 700+ years before Christ's encaranation birth and describes the attributes and actions of the promised Messiah, the Savior of the world and Lord of all. As fallen humans, we are dead in our sins and lost as could be with absolutely no hope. The Creator Father God, Giver and Sustainer of life sent Jesus Christ to the lost and dying world to rescue fallen humanity out of the darkness of sin and unbelief, to forgive and heal our brokenness; to know and have a restore relationship with Almighty Lord and abandon their Godless thoughts, words and actions in repentance. Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare. The Truth came on the first Christmas and the gift of God is offered to all till the end of days. Do not take God’s offer of redemption and reconciliation for granted, know the dire sin situation in which you exist and with repentance, accept the forgiveness, salvation and eternal life by accepting Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of your life, out of darkness into His marvelous light. Isaiah is an eternal positive perspective; read it, meditate on it's means to and for you, then gloriously live.

In Christ, Brian
