1 Peter 3:15 “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you.”

Pastor Kyle continues: The lack of solid biblical knowledge and communication of the Gospel truth has caused division in our world. Conflict is actually a form of communication. Because of the “fallen in sin” world that we live in, conflict is unfortunately necessary to argue points, reason and come to a place of mutual and common understanding. Give, go, speak and bring the light of gospel truth that it may be examined, connected, understood and known. Also, every new stage and position of life takes new communication skills to learn to be productive. A lifelong pattern of improving healthy communication is a pivotal skillset that determines whether we grow.

The Tower of Babel was designed for the purpose of pagan worship ceremonies, but from the beginning God was building a people for Himself, who were not supposed to worship other gods in any way, shape or form. The first two Commandments of God state: “You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth” - Exodus 20:3-5. Leviticus 19:2 says, “You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy.” The Greek word for “holy” is “qāḏôš”, meaning sacred, holy, saint, set apart. The 1828 Webster’s dictionary defines the word “holy” as: whole, entire or perfect, in a moral sense. Hence, pure in heart, temper or dispositions; free from sin and sinful affections. Man is more or less holy, as his heart is more or less sanctified, or purified from evil dispositions. We call a person holy, when their heart is conformed in some degree to the image of God, and their life is regulated by the divine precepts. Hallowed; consecrated or set apart to a sacred use, or to the service or worship of God; Proceeding from pious principles, or directed to pious purposes.

In this fallen in sin world, God wants His people set apart from the pagan nations; a people who did not participate in the sinful thoughts, words and activities that the heathens partake in. In the days of Noah, God judged and destroyed the world by a global flood because, as Genesis 6:5-7, 11-13 says, the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. So God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. And God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

The Hebrew word for “evil” is “raʻ”, meaning evil (natural or moral):—adversity, affliction, bad, calamity, exceedingly evil causing great grief, harm, misery, sorrow, trouble, vex, wickedness, worst), wretchedness, wrong. The 1828 Webster’s dictionary defines the word “evil” as: natural or moral. Natural evil is anything which produces pain, distress, loss or calamity, or which in any way disturbs the peace, impairs the happiness, or destroys the perfection of natural beings. Moral evil is any deviation of a moral agent from the rules of conduct prescribed to him by God, or by legitimate human authority; or it is any violation of the plain principles of justice and rectitude. The Tower of Babel was all about glory to self and making a name for themselves; their fame, not God’s. When you invest in anything that isn’t from God, trusting yourself instead of finding hope and security, its leads to your downfall.

Let's conclude Pastor Kyle's message on reversing this lost and dying world.

In Christ, Brian
