Make a Difference

People who do not know the Lord Jesus Christ are not in far away lands alone. They are right here in this country also. People who have never really heard the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. Can you make a difference? Yes, of course, you sure can. I don’t think that we, the church, realize the awesome opportunity we have in the kingdom of God. They are waiting for us, new disciples of Jesus Christ. All we have to do is get over the little fear of starting the conversation and bring them into being. Remember that the Holy Spirit prepares hearts in advance for hearing the Gospel. Have you ever been prompted by the Holy Spirit to speak to someone about the Blessed Redeemer? Sometimes, just saying a prayer with them changes their life for Christ.  Everyone wants to be prayed for.

Luke 10:2 He [Jesus]  was saying to them, “The harvest is abundant [for there are many who need to hear the good news about salvation], but the workers [those available to proclaim the message of salvation] are few. Therefore, [prayerfully] ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”

Everybody is ready to see, hear and to act. Until Christ’s word is preached, there is nothing worth listening to.  Sometimes, Christ’s word is there within you individual life redemption story. How many of you have brought someone to the Lord? Is there a better feeling than that? You’ll never bring a person to the Lord if you never ask them if they are interested in coming. All the hype on earth doesn’t make a single bit of hype in Heaven; not one little bit. You want to make Heaven rejoice and angelic beings sing and dance? Jesus tell us in Luke 15:7, 10 “I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance. In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” Give them a chance. Go make disciples.

When you tell people your gospel life story and they see something in you that they do not have (and want), they are going to ask you a question that you can answer, which will lead to more questions that you can answer for them. Why, Because the Holy Spirit is working in their heart. Your discipleship job becomes easier where they ask you questions. Help someone find their way to Jesus is, without a doubt, one of the most exciting things that you will ever do in your life. Can we make a difference? Not Hell no, but Heaven yes we can! It just takes obeying the Great Commission and making an effort to reach the lost.

We have been told by the prophetic Word of God and from the Lord Himself, how He is going to bring about great things in His church. We need to keep praising Him and lifting up His glorious name. We, the church body, cannot become weary in our walk with the Lord. We have to stay focused on the godly mission and goal. We have to keep pressing on towards the high mark set by God. We are going to reap a bountiful harvest of souls for Christ and decrease the population of Hell in the process. But, we won’t do it if we don’t carry out the Great Commission.

John 14:23-24 Jesus answered, “If anyone [really] loves Me, he will keep My word (teaching); and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling place with him. One who does not [really] love Me does not keep My words. And the word (teaching) which you hear is not Mine, but is the Father’s who sent Me.

Jesus is coming back for His glorious church. But know this: Going to church is not necessarily following Christ. The true Christian follows Christ. That’s the way it should be in all church’s, but it is not. Jesus warns in Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ We need to be found faithful. The blessings that God promised are closer now then they have ever been. The harvest is outside of the church walls and we are the laborers of God’s harvest. We want to do our part; all of us do. God is building a home for all Believers and He is using us in what He is building with Jesus Crist as the cornerstone. He used the Patriarchs, Prophets and Apostles for the foundation, and now God is using His church. Be faithful to God in your calling and know that you can make a difference.

In Christ, Brian
