Position Yourself to Prosper – Part 2

1 Peter 3:15 “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.”

Continuing Pastor Kyle’s message and his suggested four things to focus on in positioning ourselves to prosper. The third is to live a life that demands an explanation, than give it. Never, never, never forget God in anything that you do and model a different life than the politically correct, materialistic and hedonistic, secular humanist existentialism that dominates our society and culture today. Model godliness, be a true example of holiness, live a standard of Christian care and charity, and reflect the love of God in Christ on all. This is positioning yourself to proper for Christ’s sake. Share the hope that you have through faith by grace; not just “ministering to others and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ by your life, and if necessary, use words. People need to hear what you believe and why. They have a God-shaped hole in their life because God put eternity in their hearts, so they desire to hear the “good news” of Jesus Christ and your story. Have a fundamental and foundational life of sharing Jesus, communicating the spiritual power of Creator Father God and blessing others by it.

Matthew 28:18-20 “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Fourthly, keep in mind that God’s mission is always bigger than us and we are a part of God’s bigger picture. Remember that history is truly “His Story” and He takes normal people and blesses the world through them. Bless the world that you live in. Position yourself to prospect and accomplish God’s mission. The truth be known, all have sinned and need to be saved. In Genesis 41, Joseph physically saved the entire world, by are the same time pointed to the bigger God picture of Jesus Christ spiritually saving the entire world that would accept the free gift atoning propitiation unto salvation and eternity life.

John 3:14-20 “Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed."

Almighty Sovereign God sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die for the sins of the world by paying the wages of sin in our place, so that we may live and have eternal life in Heaven with him forever. Know that you are loved and embraced by God’s love. In a way, we are all Joseph’s on God’s bigger mission in the world in which we live. Position yourself to proper in that mission accordingly. We are blessed to be a blessing.

In Christ, Brian
