Mockery

Galatians 6:7 “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a person sows, this he will also reap.”

If you haven’t heard or seen yet, the Opening Ceremony of the Paris Olympics featured a final scene resembling Leonardo Di Vinci’s painting The Last Supper by men dressed as women, obviously making a mockery of Christianity. Using the worldwide platform if the Olympic Games, the bold statement broadcasted by this tasteless degeneracy was a that the lawless rebellion against the Creator of heaven and earth has overrun and taken the culture. The people tuned in to enjoy a wholesome, political-free Sports competition and received a display of immorality and anti-God which ruined the experience for all. It’s never been about equality and inclusion; tolerance the bait. The radical agenda has always been about conquering and destroying God’s Word, Will and Way because they are condemned by it. 

 

The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 5:13-16, “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” God created all and sets the standards of what is right and wrong in society, not the fallen creatures within His creation.  

 

Creator God clearly proclaims in His Law: Leviticus 20:13 “If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.” And Deuteronomy 22:5 “A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the Lord your God.” You hear from the God-rejecting world system, how can you believe such a thing in this day and age? Day and ages change, but not the immutable Supreme Being of the universe. Hebrews 13:8 tells us, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. 

 

Of course, darkness will shout from the top of the Eiffel Tower that that the light of God is bad and must be eliminated. 2 Corinthians 6:14 declares, “Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?” But, that works both ways. There are Born-again Believers and unregenerate unbelievers. There are God-fearing Followers and God-hating rebels. By definition, darkness is the absence of light and spiritual darkness is the absence of God; Infernal gloom; hell (per Webster’s dictionary). They cannot coexist, not desire to. 

 

Give the devil and his minions an inch and they’ll become your Ruler. And if you don’t reject God, surrender and bow down to their prevented thoughts, immoral words and sinful actions, then you will be labelled a hater and must be silenced immediately, then eventually eliminated. There is no neutral ground either. It’s “in your face” their godless way, period. I clearly remember the Late Dr. J. Vernon McGee stating on his “Thru the Bible” radio program that he predicted this very issue to be the downfall of the world. In no way, shape or manner we allow anyone to believe and obey God’s holy Word. They have inserted themselves into the position of God. Jesus said in John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came so that they would have life, and have it abundantly.” 

 

This mockery performance is a validation that the attacks on morality, decency, integrity and godliness was a declaration of war against God Himself. The choice has been there all along: the darkness of sin or the light of God. Because of original sin, the default is death, so by not choosing you have already made the choice. The division has been there since the Fall of Man in the Garden of Eden. The question is: What side are you on.? The Lord Jesus explained in John 3:19-21 “And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” Repent, believe and be saved.

 

In Ephesians 5:8-12 the Apostle Paul declares to those who accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.” The Lord’s Prayer petitions: Our Father who are in Heaven, Hallowed (Holy) is your name. Your Kingdom come, Your Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. With the degradation and deprivation of our culture, Christ could return at any moment. Stand firm.

 

In Revelation 22:12-21 Jesus concludes, “behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie. “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.” And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely. He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
