Clean and Pure

Psalm 119:15 “I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.”

I read a great little devotional today that I’d like to share.

Psalm 119:9 says, “Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to Thy word.” That word “way” really means a “rut” like a chariot wheel would make in the road. On our last trip to Kingman, Arizona, we went exploring and found the old trail to an old gold mine where the wheels of the Ore carts actually wore deep ruts in the solid granite. Have you ever heard of a one-track mind? The devil plants a thought in our minds, and over time it becomes a belief. Before we know it, he has captured a stronghold. Thank God there is a way of deliverance.

John 15:3 “Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.”

God’s Word will cleanse you. Hallelujah! God’s cleansing powers can sweep over your soul today. And fresh winds of the Holy Spirit can blow through the temple of your body and make you clean and pure.

Ephesians 5:26 “That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.”
