Walk With Him

Colossians 2:6-7 “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.”

We are “justified” from our sin when we receive Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, finding forgiveness and reconciliation, regeneration and an eternal destiny in the kingdom of Heaven. But, this is not the end here on earth; just the starting point to a blessed life rooted in Christ and established in a sure faith that builds upon and improves through the lifelong process of sanctification into the character and likeness of Jesus. This happens through a life of studying the Word of God; abiding in it and abounding in it. Do we have something to be thankful for in Christ and God’s plan of Salvation? When we see and know what we have been “saved from”, then we can truly be thankful for what we have been “saved to” through the atoning sacrifice of the Savior of the world, by the grace of God alone. Hallelujah! Walk with Him.

In Christ, Brian
