1 Corinthians 15:48-57 As was the man of
dust (Adam), so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the
heavenly Man (Jesus), so also are those who are heavenly. And
as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the
image of the heavenly Man. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood
cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold,
I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in
a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will
sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For
this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put
on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this
mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is
written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O Death, where is your
sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” The sting of death is sin,
and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to
God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:1-6 “And you He made alive, who
were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to
the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the
spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all
once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of
the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the
others. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with
which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive
together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up
together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in
Christ Jesus.”
1 Chronicles 29:11 “Yours, O Lord, is the
greatness, the power and the glory, the victory and the majesty; For all that
is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord,
and You are exalted as head over all.”
Thanks
be to God,
In
Christ, Brian
