Let not your Heart be Troubled

John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”

Jesus’ promise of eternity in heaven for the Believer is one of the most precious elements of faith. Everyone admits that “nobody is perfect” and have sinned sometime in some way, shape or form. But the gospel message is that by the pure grace of God, while we were still sinners, He sent Jesus to be the sinless atoning sacrifice for the sin of the world and all sinners. We all have been saved from the wrath of God, by God Himself, so that we could be reconciled through the substitution of our sin for His righteousness. In doing so, those who chose to receive that free gift of eternal life through faith, change their destiny from never-ending separation from God in the “Lake of Fire” to a mansion in the “Kingdom of Heaven”, forever with the Lord.

Know what you have been “saved from”, so that you may understand the full implications of where you have been “saved to”. The fall of mankind in sin from the garden of Eden was tremendously great, but the restoring salvation in Jesus Christ is infinitely greater. No wonder that love, joy and piece are the natural fruit of the Spirit that flows out of the Child of God. The Lord Jesus took our place on that cross for the forgiveness of sin, and now He is preparing a spectacular dwelling place in heaven for us. Then promises to come again and receive us to Himself, so that we will be with Him always in paradise.
Let not your heart be troubled; believe in Jesus.

In Christ, Brian
