The Day of Judgment

Hebrews 9:26-27For then must He often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath He appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”

Many may try to disrepute, distort, pervert or ignore completely the doctrine of the Second coming, yet it remains an inescapable and ineluctable fact that Jesus Christ will come again to judge the living and the dead (Acts 10:42, 2 Timothy 4:1, 1 Peter 4:5). I read an article that stated that there are over 300 passages in the New Testament alone testifying that Christ will come again; this time as a conquering King. At the time of the Second Coming, those who have been ignoring and rejecting God’s offer of redemption and forgiveness unto salvation in the atoning gift of Jesus Christ, suddenly and without warning, will hear the chilling sound of the trumpet that will be heard around the world and there shall appear in the heavens the sign of the Son of Man (Matthew 24:30).

1 Corinthians 15:52-54 “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with great power and glory. His glory shall eclipse the sun, and every eye will be lifted up to behold His great glory as He comes. There will be millions who do not know the Lord cry, “Oh God, have mercy upon me; oh Lord help me.” But, my friends, it will be everlastingly too late for the door of grace will irretrievably have been shut. There will be no time and no tomorrow.

Revelation 20:11-15 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
There will only be endless eternity without God and without hope. The Son of Man will come to this earth, not as a lamb to be stain for the sins of the world, but as the Lord of God in His justified wrath against willful rebellion of mankind. For those who say; “God, you are not my Lord and Savior. Not thy will, but my will be done.” The Lord shall say on that Day; “Thy will be done. Christ did not pay for your sins. Now, now you pay for your sins. ”

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.”

In magnificent splendor and glory, He will come and will cause God’s own to leap with joy. All around the world, graves will be opened and the dead in Christ shall rise first with their bodies reconstituted and glorified. If you are a Christian, you can say with joy, “Even so, come Lord Jesus. Come quickly.” And every thought of His return brings rapturous joy. But for those who are not believers and followers of Jesus Christ, they will be fill with terror and awe. Either we choose to let the Lamb of God (Christ) receive the wrath of God for our sins by trusting in Jesus and His finished work on the Cross, or we will face the wrath of the Lamb of God when He returns. May the Truth be known. Put your trust in God. Accept the gift of God and have pure joy on the Day of Judgment. Praise the Lord!

John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

In Christ, Brian
