Anthropic World

Genesis 1:27-28So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

In astrophysics and cosmology, the Anthropic principle (from Greek anthropos, meaning "human") is the philosophical consideration that observations of the physical Universe must be compatible with the conscious and sapient life that observes it. It explains why the universe has the age and the fundamental physical constraints necessary to accommodate conscious life. As a result, they believe it is unremarkable that the universe's fundamental constants happen to fall within the narrow range thought to be compatible with life. The Universe and especially the planet Earth were created to support life … and for mankind.

Isaiah 45:18 “For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.”

I read that the celebration of the 500th anniversary of Nicholas Copernicus was held at the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics in Prague on April 18-19, 1973. Copernicus showed that the earth was not at the center of the universe, but that the sun was at the center and the planets revolved around it. At the celebration, Astronomer Brandon Carter discussed his discovery of certain, almost inexplicable findings in the world of particle physics and astronomy. They all seemed to suggest that this world, and the whole universe, have been created, formed and made for the purpose of hosting intelligent life on this planet – namely mankind. Many similar physical constrains which appear optimized for human existence point to the fact that this universe seems to have been designed for mankind. Carter’s Anthropic Principle says that the universe has a “purpose”. That is a dirty world to evolutionist who have substituted “chance” for design and creation by an almighty Creator.

Romans 1:19-20 “What may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.”

There are approximately 400 “at-the-same-time” parameters (which is mathematically impossible to occur at the same time) that do exist on earth to make it uniquely inhabitable. This is not to mention all of the “irreducible complexity” of the life forms that inhabit this planet. Both sides of Creation verses Evolution walk by faith. Nobody here was there at creation. But, when we truly take an honest look at the evidence, it takes more faith to believe in Godless Macro-Evolution for creation and the origin of species. Despite man’s attempts to deny God, He has left His fingerprints all over the place. May God's truth shine and be seen by all those who sincerely seek Him.

In Christ, Brian
