Acts 3:17-3:26 “Yet now, brethren, I know that you did it in
ignorance, as did also your
rulers. But those things which God foretold by the mouth of
all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled. Repent therefore
and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of
refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached
to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of
restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy
prophets since the world began. For Moses
truly said to the fathers, ‘The Lord your God
will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear
in all things, whatever He says to you. And it shall
be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed
from among the people.’ Yes, and all the prophets, from Samuel and those who
follow, as many as have spoken, have also foretold these days. You are sons
of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to
Abraham, ‘And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’ To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus,
sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your
iniquities.”
Picking up from Pastor David Zavalla’s message from
yesterday, he proclaims that Jesus is the true Author of miracles. The Lord
calls upon us all to repent and turn from our sin, seek forgiveness, turn to
God and go in His direction. In doing so, we find the peace that passes all
understanding. Jesus made a way to have our sins (past, present and future)
blotted out, that all the Christian/Believing families of the earth will be
blessed. Resurrected from the dead means “heard the Word of God and believed”. It
is by His power, not our power, that we can live out your Christianity. We can
make a difference in people’s lives. Share the story of your life in Christ. God’s
prepares “good work” before us and all we have to do is be faithful to walk in
them. Go out and do them.
Acts 4:1-4:4 Now as they spoke to the
people, the priests, the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees came upon
them, being greatly disturbed that they taught the people and preached in
Jesus the resurrection from the dead. And they laid hands on them,
and put them in custody until the next
day, for it was already evening. However, many of those who
heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.”
When God’s Word goes forth,
people will get saved. We are now under the grace of God. And the grace of God
is training us, the grace of god is teaching us to deny ungodliness. I
encourage to move out in the grace of God. As you have been baptized in the Holy
Spirit and as you ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit, that you can, in His
strength, go our and share the word of God and live out your live for Christ. Lord,
have your way with us. Amen.
Pastor David
