Much to ponder today, Brian. Ever-grateful for His sacrifice, as I know you are, too. Blessings to you and yours as we await His return and commemorate His resurrection!
Thank you for the great comment Larri. Much to ponder, the magnitude of this atoning & redemptive sacrifice unto regeneration of our spirit, and the acceptable surrogate exchange of Jesus taking on our sin and paying the penalty of death which we deserve while we take on His perfect righteousness and forgiveness through His shed blood by His pure love, it's over-whelming in both sadness that our sin caused His suffering, yet rejoice in that this was God's plan of Salvation from the beginning and through this single act of redeeming rescue, we have been justified and reconciled, the spirit regenerated from death to life with life eternal, adopted into the family of God as children and citizens of heaven. On Friday, the debt was paid and on Sunday, His defeated sin & death by rising in resurrection glory that we may rise in glorification too.
So many do not know this truth today. To those pre-Christians and potential Christians, it is just another Friday. As I meditated on what to post and scanned the resources, it became obvious that I needed to put everything out there and not write a word. It was all about our Savior and His Salvation work on the Cross that Friday. Just to see the truth and take it it, so that our soul would be focused and moved by the sheer reality of this blessed day.
Blessings to you and yours Larri. Thank you for being a blessing to us all.
Brian - You've said it beautifully. I also gave yesterday much thought. I was truly overwhelmed to tears at times as I mulled over I'm forgiven because of His sacrifice throughout the day.
Psalm 100:1-5 " Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. 2 Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. 3 Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. 5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
