Zechariah 9:8“But I will encampat my temple
to guard it against marauding forces. Never again will an
oppressor overrun my people, for now I am keeping watch.”
Freedom isn’t free. Liberty carries the connotation
of being liberated from attack, bondage, and/or oppression, and in the ultimate
sense, sin itself. Today, we honor those men and women of our Armed Forces who valiantly
served their nation to preserve our life, our liberty and our freedom, one
nation under God ... under the banner of Jehovah Nissi: God is my
Protector.
Psalm 27:1 “TheLordis mylight and mysalvation;
Whom shall I fear? TheLordis thedefense of my
life; Whom shall I dread?”
Psalm 100:1-5 " Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. 2 Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. 3 Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. 5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
