The fellowship of men of God should never be taken for granted. We must stand together as a band of brothers. God is preparing his men for such a time as this. There will be cataclysmic times. These are the times that try men's souls. We have enjoyed a great era of peace and freedom where men could worship God freely after the dictates of their hearts. Men of God have had to fight for these rights.
Taking from President Abraham Lincoln's famous quote, our prayer is not that God is on our side but rather that we are on God's side. In this fallen world, it is easy to cast our hat in the wrong ring... to support the wrong candidate, to be deceived by the powers of the darkness of this world. Jesus said that in this world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world.
There will come a time when men think that if they kill you, they're doing God a favor. Their perverted mindset says "kill the infidels." Our culture now thinks that to support traditional values of God and His Word, is to blaspheme the doctrine of "progressive liberalism" the prevailing religion of our culture.
Jesus said, "They do these things because they don't know my father." These religious zealots are the ones who defend the doctrines of the world and the culture of political correctness. The PC police can pretend to promote "inclusiveness" and "free thinking" unless it's inclusiveness of the Truth of the Word. The devil and his minions preach "tolerance" unless it's tolerance of the truth.
The adversary's goal is the "redefinition of truth." His name is the devil, the deceiver. His tactic is to call evil good and good evil. The adversary says there is no such thing as sin, hell, and eternal death... that there is no such thing as a day of judgement... a day of reckoning.
America has had a great run: success, wealth, abundance, peace, freedom, liberty, and rights according to the virtuous Biblical ideals of the founding fathers. However, America has lost her moorings... the scriptural foundations on which our country was built.
America has bought the devil's lie that the unalienable right of the "pursuit of happiness" is the pursuit of hedonism, egotism, and instant self gratification. However, Jesus said that blessed, happy, are they who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.
Where do you invest? Is your investment in the things of the world? Jesus said, "Lay not up for yourself treasures upon earth where moth and rust doth corrupt and thieves break through and steal, but lay up for yourself treasures in heaven." Paul said, "I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that he is able to to keep that which he's committed unto me against that day." He will keep the deposit that he's committed to me in trust. The dividend, the return on the investment is the eternal reward. For this light affliction worketh a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.
Are you ashamed of the gospel? Where is your identity. Are you ready to stand for The Lord to whom you pledged allegiance? As Paul said, "I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God to them that believe, to the Jew first and also to the Greek."
God is preparing the hearts of his men for such a time as this. Blessed are they when men shall revile you and persecute you for my sake, for great is your reward in heaven.
Where is your allegiance? Where is your commitment? With whom do ye stand? Choose ye this day whom ye will serve, as for me and my house we will serve The Lord.
God has called his men to be salt and light in a world of darkness... not to condemn men who have been indoctrinated by the doctrines of the PC Culture of this world. He has not called his men to condemn the world for their sins, but to introduce them to the savior from Sin. "Do you know my savior? Do you know my Christ? Have you heard he loves you and that he shall abide til the end?
As Paul said, I count this present suffering to be insignificant compared to the glory to come. To live in the fullness of life, we must have a mission, a cause, a purpose. We must be willing to die for the things worth living for in order to live for the things worth dying for. As he lived to make men holy, we must live to make men free... His Truth is marching on.
