The Real Life Story – Part 1

Psalm 139:13-14 For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well.

This last Sunday, Pastor Kyle gave a message about our life stories and how when we stop and look back upon the years behind our cart, we can see God’s hand at work all along the way. We also in God’s plan being played out we see that it is not all about us, but also reaching out to those who have not been reached as the Lord reached out to us. Plus, the distractions of the godless world, the desire of the sinful flesh and the deceptions that come our way from the demonic realm that tempt us daily are seen for what they are. Fun in our lives is not a bad thing, but when we see only the “fun” stuff, there is a danger that we may believe that we “have it all together”.  When fun is the foundation, then everything that isn't “fun” is “boring” and if the fun runs out, we are devastated and collapse mentally and emotional. But, when Jesus Christ is our foundation, fun time and boring time are just things that happen because we do not depend upon them for our well-being. We depend upon our Maker, who has a great plan and wonderful purpose for our lives, since day One and even before. God knows what He is doing, even in our poor or noble choices in life. Looking back, we see that we were always supernaturally protected.

Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

It is vitally important that parents pray for their children and put the child’s needs before their own. It is equally important for all of us to pray for the children of others. Prayer changes things. To call upon the hand of the Lord, we plant seeds of faith in every child, that as reality shines the light of truth and leads them, you and I to the foot of the cross and His love. There are so many today that have conversations about God in general, but in reality do not know Him intimately. Distracted by the desperate need to “fit in”, we need to see that we are designed to “fit in” with our Creator in true relationship to which we have been supernatural appointed. We do not need before coming to Christ. We don’t need to be scared about what we have done right and wrong in life before. God meets us in a friendly, safe and inviting environment where we are with a call to a higher place ... His place.

Ephesians 1:3-8  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will,  to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace which He lavished on us.

In Christ, Brian
