Keep Calm and Read your Bible

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Keeping with the "Keep Claim" theme that is sweeping the nation, what better way to discover tranquility than the peaceful reading of the living Word of God; the Holy Scriptures of the Bible. The Book that is profitable for life because God's Word is truth.

John 17:17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.

In Christ, Brian

Amen!
Son#2 has had terrible anxiety this week as he adjusts to high school. We've been grounding ourselves with the Word. Every day I send a verse with him to carry in his pocket & take out as needed. Besides praying throughout the day, it's the only way I can help him while he's away. The Word works!

That "Freshman" year is a big change from "top dog" in the Eighth grade to "low man on the totem pole" with three grade above you. It's a teenage social adjustment for sure. This is where those foundational truths of being a child of God become the solid support to stand upon. How wise to actually carry a Bible verse along in your pocket to refer back to during the day to carry him with light. Peer pressure is real, but it also valueless play on manipulating emotions; taken as the negative that it truly is, it's easier to hold on to God's positive. The Word works indeed! Thank you for the great comment.
