Father/Son Camping/Fishing Trip 2014

Deuteronomy 5:16 “Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you, that your days may be long, and that it may be well with you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

Children are such a great blessing from God and no matter how old they are, they are still your child. My oldest son took me on a Father's Day camping and fishing trip to the Eastern Sierra Nevada mountains and we had a great time alone together. We fished Leeving Creek and caught our limits of Rainbow Trout daily, visited and explored the limestone and sand Tufa of Mono Lake, climbed to the top of the Obsidian Dome, hiked up and entered Panum Volcano crater, took in the beauty of the High Sierras and roasted marshmallows over the campfire in Big Bend Campground nightly. The time that you spend with your children is priceless, as unforgettable memories are made and bonds are built upon. It may take some sacrifices to make the time, but the benefits are lifetime lasting love and joy. I'll never forget this last weekend together. Make memories with your parents and children.

In Christ, Brian

Happy belated Father's Day Brian. What a wonderful way to spend it! I love those snow covered mountains, so pretty.

Blessings,

I believe you have every reason to go fishing with your son. First, because it's a responsibility to teach self-preservation skills, and second because it helps in marking territory, by getting as many people as possible to seize everything. It's also nice that there are boats that you can navigate, for starters. Kudos!
