Eternal Home

Matthew 24:13-14 “He who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

When I went through the "Evangelism Explosion" class, something was obvious by the two diagnostic questions: (1) Have you come to the place in your spiritual life where you know for certain that if you were to die today you would go to heaven, or is that something you would say you're still working on?  (2) Suppose that you were to die today and stand before God and He were to say to you, Why should I let you into my heaven?" What would you say?

The end of this life will come, maybe even today, and that brings up the personal questions: "Where will I spend eternity?" and "Since the default is hell due to sin, what is the way to heaven?" Thought-provoking questions for sure, but need answered. Existentialism (living for the day) avoids the issue and the associated questions of going to hell or heaven, but having the answer is either the greatest trouble or the greatest joy and peace on earth. I choose joy and peace in Jesus Christ, my Savior and Lord.

In Christ, Brian
