Commissioned to Go

Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore GO and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

It is a grim and frightening reality to know that all have sinned (Romans 2:23) and that the penalty of sin is death (Romans 6:23). But if you are wondering if there is a light at the end of the tunnel, there is! God is a faithful and loving God, forgiving and offering hope to all who will believe the "good news". It's the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ, that you can be reconciled to God and brings you into a meaningful relationship with God. Jesus commissioned us to go and tell those who do not know the Lord about Him and His good news. National Back to Church Day was just a few weeks ago, on September 16, 2012, now would be a great time to invite someone you know who does not know the Lord to go to church with you. What better way to introduce them to their Creator and their Savior, who loves them enough "to die for". Invite a friends, a family member, a co-worker or a neighbor to go with you to your local church next week. So GO! It's a heavenly thing.

In Christ, Brian
