TRANSFORMERS

Romans 12:2 “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

The World in rebellion against God, and the Devil, tempt our minds with sensually delightful pleasures designed to entice our imaginations with unholy fantasies and lure our fleshly desires for happiness, fun and excitement without thought of God’s Will, Word or Way. The pattern of this world is “Sin City”, where anything goes and the desires of the sinful nature run wild and free in vainglory. Julian Huxley once stated that the idea of God interfered with his sexual mores. Galatians 6:7 "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows." They make a choice to enjoy the pleasures and treasures of sin for a season over obedience to their Creator. The pride of the egocentric secular humanist on the wide road to destruction rejects God’s authority in their life. Where do you obtain your joy and genuine contentment? Is it from the Lord or from somewhere else? The world will always tempt you to turn from God and join them. But Christ calls His followers to influence the world and not be influenced by the world. Jesus tells us in Luke 9:25 “What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self, (his very soul)?”

2Corinthians 3:3-6 & 16-18 “You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. Such confidence as this is ours through Christ before God. Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant--not of the letter (the Law) but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. But whenever anyone turns to the Lord (Jesus), the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” Tom DeRosa of the Creation Studies Institute writes that as Christians, God has given us a burning desire to serve Him in some form of ministry with a passion not only to help other Christians to become stronger in their faith and become better witnesses for Jesus Christ, but an ultimate goal to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to this nation and to a world deceived by false ideologies (Decepticons of our day); a world that is misinformed, confused, and headed for total destruction. Jesus Christ is our Creator, Savior and Judge. When we shine a searchlight of truth through the smokescreen, I have personally witnessed the transformation of lives of those who were once proud atheists into Christians who’ve come to the knowledge that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139).

Philippians 3:18-21 “For, as I have often told you before and now say again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is on earthly things. But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.”

The World is the “Garden of God” ripe for the harvest. As the Lord God put man in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it (Genesis 2:15), so all God’s children need to be weeding the Garden of their mind, that the good seed (the Word of God) can grow and multiply. Then we can plant and sow seed in the world, cultivate and water with the tears of compassion for His harvest of transformed souls for His kingdom in Heaven and on Earth. R.C. Sproul states that just as in the “Dark Ages”, when people were distracted from the truth of God’s Word, what is needed today is no less than what was needed in those dark days long ago - reformation, renewed commitment and revival through Jesus Christ that breaks through the darkness and brings the truth of God back into the light where the world can see it and be transformed. Psalm 112:4 “Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man.”

But my wise wife says it plainly: “Why do many Christians find it easy to talk about the Lost (those who do not know the Lord), but do not talk to the Lost?” We have been blessed to be a blessing.

1Peter 1:3 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth (transformed) into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead”.

Be Transformers.

Reading your post was a great way to brighten my day. It reminded me how thankful I am that Jesus redeemed me with His shed blood. Now I have to keep allowing Him to transform me into His servant.
Have A Great Day In The Lord...

We all have a part and a purpose in this journey. We all help each other as the body of Christ. I thank the Lord for you and His loving hand upon your life. With our Father in control and leading us individually in personal relationship, how could we not dwell on holiness and righteousness, paise, worship, and thanksgiving. Grow in grace. Brian
